The G.*.*.S. Hearing-prot**tor Test Fix*ure Type

45C* (Fig. 1) *s *or testin* the performa**e of h*ar-

ing-pro*ect*on dev*c*s such a* ear plugs and ear

muf*s (s*pra-aural as wel* ** circum-au*al).

It conforms w*th ISO 486*-3 and can be u*ed with

one 1 or tw* 2:

•    W*1P or WS2P micro*hones

res*ec*ively 1-i**h or ½-inc* (wi*h adapter)

•    IE* 6**18 Ear Si*ulators (RA0039)

I* c*n also be fit*ed with IEC 6*711 Ear Simulator*

(RA0*45) and a range *f mo*ld*d-rub*er KEMAR

E*rs *o* testing e*r pl*gs.

The Test Fix*ure is mounted on a resilient ba*e which

reduces *h* n*i*e ?o*r to a *ini**m in a typical tes*

s*tuat*on.

Fig. 2 sho*s a block **a*ram of a set-up for testin*

a pair *f *ar-protec**o* muf*s.
