IMEI(International Mobile Equipment Identity,國際移動身份識別)碼俗稱“手機串號”存儲在手機的EEPROM(俗稱碼片)里,每一個移動設(shè)備都對一個唯一的IMEI。其組成結(jié)構(gòu)為TAC(8位數(shù)字) + SNR(6位數(shù)字)+ SP (校驗位)。TAC(設(shè)備型號核準號碼),由GSMA(GSM協(xié)會)中心分配。
IMEI numbers come in a 15 digit sequences of numbers. The IMEI format currently utilized is
AA-BBBBBB-CCCCCC-D:
AA:
These two digits are for the Reporting Body Identifier, indicating the GSMA approved group
that allocated the TAC (Type Allocation Code).
BBBBBB:
The remainder of the TAC , Type indentifier
CCCCCC:
Serial sequence of the Model
D:
Defined as a function of all other digits.

Note:
Effective September 14, 2009, device manufacturers will be charged based on the number of
TACs they obtain for their own mobile equipment product ranges. The price structure is as follows:
“Band 1” is 1-2 TACs = US $2,000
“Band 2” is 3-10 TACs + US $4,000 = US $6,000
“Band 3” is 11-30 TACs + US $6,000 = US $12,000 + US $300 per additional TAC
“Band 4” is 31+ TACs: Manufacturers who take more than 31 TACs per year will have that number
set as their benchmark. That number of TACs will be provided at US $12,000 per year. Additional
TACs will then be charged at the rate of US $3,000 per bundle of 10 TACs. (Type Allocation Code).
