Chain Link,fence,
Maybe you have seen the telltale sign that your dog is bored, anxious, some slack artist or just seeking defense against the elements--it's that giant gaping hole on your lawn under your chain link fence. Dogs dig for various reasons. Maintain your dog secure and your yard intact with exercise, diversionary tactics, behavior modification and fence reinforcement.
1. Walk your pet at least twice every day, and play fetch and other games that expend energy. Train it to say result-oriented tricks, or take a training class. Provide toys to maintain it busy, and switch them around to provide variety and pique interest. Spend additional time along with your dog.
2. Produce an alternate, acceptable digging spot by developing a sandbox in another part of the yard. Dig an opening and grow it with loose sand or dirt. Bury its favorite toys of this type also. Praise your dog in the event it digs from the approved spot.
3. Buy a dog house for shelter when the dog is digging to get rest from wind or heat. Put the dog house inside a shady area, if possible, to deliver extra comfort.
4. Lay chicken wire beneath the fence with the hole, curling the sharp edges outside the yard so they face outward. Partially bury large rocks with the fence line. Attach chain link fence for the bottom from the fence and lay it in a "L" shape on the ground to make it uncomfortable for the dog's feet when walking onto it
